FAQ

Why do I need to install another wallet?

In order to provide a streamlined gameplay experience, we developed a wallet to provide you with some useful features, such as hiding unnecessary dialogs. The wallet will automatically sign certain actions, such as moving from one place to another, while still requiring you to authorize more important actions via Anchor, like transferring your hard-earned EBON.

During the account creation process, we create a key for you and link permissions to your account. This leverages EOSIO's powerful permission system to prevent attackers from transferring tokens or modifying your account in the event your private key or recovery phrase are compromised. The wallet is self-custodial, which means at no point will we ever have access to your keys or recovery phrase.

Why does playing require so many resources (RAM, CPU, NET)?

We have made great effort to reduce the resources required for gameplay and are committed to providing tools to find and alleviate any unnecessary resource consumption. With that said, users should expect this game to consume a considerable amount of their network resources. Each character, map, encounter, and item is stored on chain, and is designed to use few off-chain data stores.

EOS users can PowerUp their account to increase their CPU and NET for a 24 hour period, but will need to purchase RAM to satisfy their needs in game. It is expected RAM needed will increase as the player increases in level, acquires abilities, and visits high-level areas. Users may elect to stake their unused tokens to REX to receive a portion of fees collected from other users using PowerUp.
